What a roller coaster ride we’ve all experienced over the last few days.
A big thank you and well done to our students, staff and parent community, who have all been fabulous in adapting to the advice from SA Health and the Government. A special mention to our Year 7 campers who returned home early from Wallaroo late Wednesday evening and to our Year 3/4 group (2) who were unable to attend their camp at Belair. We are endeavouring to reschedule this overnight camp pending advice from SA Health and working through a few logistical arrangements – please stay tuned.
As per our last post, you would now be aware that schools and OSHC services will be open on Monday, which is good news for everyone.
We do want to reiterate the advice from the Chief Public Health Officer who said, just because the hard lockdown is being lifted, it does not mean that the risks associated with COVID-19 have passed.
As a result we are required to minimise the number of people coming and going from our site.
Wherever possible, please drop and collect your child at the gate and maintain the appropriate physical distance from other adults.
If you need to speak with someone from the front office, please do so by phone – do not enter the admin building. Similarly, if you need to contact your child’s teacher, please do so via email, Seesaw or phone. Do not enter classrooms / school buildings.
Regarding masks, at this point in time, staff and students are not required to wear masks inside the school grounds. However, staff may choose to do so. If a parent / caregiver is required to be on school grounds, masks are strongly encouraged.
More information on end of year events will be available soon.
Thanks again for your ongoing support. We look forward to having your child back at school on Monday.
Regards, Paul, Rob and Nicky
